The Speaker Accelerator is designed to make the process clearer, faster, and far more achievable. After spending years navigating the TEDx system, we created a transparent, accessible shortcut for others who want to share their message on a global stage.
Meet Your Facilitator: Geleen Antonio
Geleen Antonio is a speaker, writer, and mental health storyteller whose journey began with a one-way ticket and transformed into a life of global travel and purpose-driven work. She founded Travel Not to Escape, a travel mental health media brand dedicated to exploring how travel shapes identity and emotional well-being.
Geleen spent 5 years decoding the TEDx process from the outside, volunteering with TEDx Chicago and diligently learning what organizers sought. After applying to dozens of events and refining her idea countless times, she officially became a TEDx speaker in 2025. Her talk, "Women and Wanderlust: How to Use Solo Travel to Break Generational Curses," now inspires her wider mission to help others share their unique stories on global stages.
She created the TEDx Speaker Accelerator she wished had existed for herself: a program that makes the process transparent, accessible, and human. Geleen is committed to helping you see what is truly possible, refine your powerful ideas, and step into the visibility that transforms lives.
